Event: BRING ON THE BAN
As part of the international youth seminar on disarmament and development (It's still not too late to apply!), ICAN is organising an open seminar titled "Bring on the ban: Lessons from other processes".
Nuclear weapons are the only weapons of mass destruction left to be banned. At a UN working group this year, it became clear that the majority of states want to start negotiations on a treaty to ban nuclear weapons next year. The time has come, and we need to make the ban treaty be all it can be! This panel will discuss what we can learn from other processes to ban weapons, and the way forward to a nuclear ban. Welcome!
