Nuclear insecurity summit

The Non-Proliferation Treaty obliges the “P5 nations” – the United States, Russia, Britain, France and China – to negotiate in good faith for the complete elimination of their nuclear weapons. But the leaders of these nations continue to make excuses for their failure to act. Their belief in the effectiveness and legitimacy of nuclear deterrence remains strong. ICAN is working hard to challenge the hypocrisy that abounds in the nuclear debate.
